Louis Vuitton Handbags: 5 Fab Bags
Louis Vuitton was a French trunk maker in the 1800's. He designed luxury baggage, and that was it. His son carried on the tradition, and created the famous LV logo you see stamped all over many of their bags - but he actually did it to prevent counterfeiting. Funny, considering how many fake bags exist today!
These days, the Louis Vuitton company is more famous for other things - most notably their amazingly expensive handbags, and usually the ones with the monogram all over them. You'll notice I haven't included any of those in this list. That's because I find them overly trendy, and a bit "busy". That's not to say I don't like LV bags - there are several I would love to have.
Louis Vuitton Summit Drive
This is the only monogram style I like, because the monogram is nearly invisible. I'm not normally into the patent leather look, but this vernis leather style is quite nice. The bag comes in white, red and black. The handle is adjustable, but only in making it shorter.

Louis Vuitton Lockit PM
Here's a bag for those of you who like the typically oversized LV bags, but don't want the monogramming they always seem to have. This is made of leather and comes in blue, white, brown, black, red and verone.
There are several models similar to this one, so make sure you know which you want, especially if buying online - the names vary only in the abbreviations.
Cost: $2,320

Louis Vuitton L'Impetueux
This also comes in blue and red - and the blue is really very stylish looking. This cute little bag is made of leather, and, as you can see, is very hip and trendy. The zippers seemed a bit Michael Jackson to me at first, but after seeing it in blue, I decided I really liked it. The front snaps shut, and the shoulder straps are adjustable. A bit on the smallish side, so if you want to bring the kitchen sink, you'll have to go with something else.
Cost: $2,770
Louis Vuitton Montaigne
I really like this one, even in red. The design is so clean and crisp, yet not stiff or overly old-fashioned looking. The front snaps closed, and the handles are short and designed to be... well... a handbag. It's somewhat similar to the popular bowling-bag styles seen these days - but this one actually looks sexy.
Cost: $1,390
Louis Vuitton Le Confident
The one you see here is verone, but I prefer the black. I'd have included a pic of that color, but verone is a popular color with Louis Vuitton, and I wanted to have at least one example of it. This is an over the shoulder bag, and pretty much fits the standard bill in terms of handbags. Not too fancy, not too plain. The front closure snaps shut and the shoulder strap is very creatively designed.
