How to Flirt by SMS/Text

Updated on March 20, 2009

It took the USA and Canada awhile to catch onto the whole sms/text messaging thing, but now that most of your mobiles are fully capable, you ought to take full advantage and make like the Europeans do -- get busy flirting via sms and text messages! It only takes 10 seconds to put a smile on someone's face all day, and at pennies per message, you really have no reason not to. Now; obviously your technique is going to vary depending on whether you're texting a man or woman, as well as how intimate you already are with them. The following suggestions can be copied, but coming up with something original is always going to get you more brownie points.

A few things to keep in mind before you start:

  • Your wife or husband will enjoy these as much as someone you've just started dating -- flirting should not stop just because you're wearing a ring.

  • Spell like a grown-up, unless you're actually a teenager, in which case, you shouldn't be sending these types of messages anyway!

  • Don't send more than 1 or 2 per day unless you're getting the same type of responses back.

  • Don't send naughty pics unless you're prepared to have them show up on the internet at some point.

  • Don't be any cheesier than you have to be.

  • Don't write a novel -- the shorter the message, the more enticing.

Flirty Texts: Her to Him

1. I think I forgot my knickers. Could you come over and check?

Very saucy, not to be used on someone you're not sure about, as this would make you quite the tease.

2. Me. You. Whipped cream. My place. 7pm.

Again, not to be used on someone you're not sure about, as this would make an even bigger tease!

3. I've been a very naughty girl today.

Benign enough to be used on anyone you fancy, as long as you're sure you fancy them. If you really want to wind him up, don't reply when he asks you to explain what you were doing! Let him wonder!

4. I've been naughty -- I think I might need a spanking.

Different kind of naughty altogether, but one most red-blooded men would be happy to hear of.

5. Do you prefer cherry or grape flavored massage oils?

Seemingly innocent question that will get his imagination going immediately.

Flirty Texts: Him to Her

1. I can't stop thinking about you.

Simple, but effective. Women like to hear this type of thing when it's sincere, so don't be shy. Unless you're a stalker; in which case, get a hobby!

2. What aren't you wearing right now?

Playful twist on an old standard. It will make her giggle, if nothing else. You may even get a saucy reply!

3. Have you been naughty today? Please say yes...

This can mean several things, and most of them are very, erm, naughty!

4. I'm going to do that thing you love until you scream my name.

Very sexy... but don't use this unless you're sure she digs you. Probably best saved for women you are already involved with.

5. First I'm going to tie you up; then I'm going to tie you down...

NOT to be used on someone you aren't absolutely positive will appreciate the sentiment! Not all women dig this kind of thing like I do, you know.
